Bed Time 3 צילום אורי רובינשטיין.jpg

Bed Time is a site-specific lecture-performance for a very limited audience that was created during the COVID-19 pandemic when gatherings were restricted. Three double mattresses filled the space of the offices at Habeit Theater and Nissan Nativ Acting School, marking the time when work and home intermingled due to forced isolation. In this context, I chose to awaken what had become a forbidden zone, a potential danger - the body.

The work is constructed as a participatory lecture, gradually allowing more and more physical freedom for the viewers. Ultimately, each participant receives their own mattress on which to explore  somatic ideas related to grounding and rooting, as well as holding and releasing.

Blurring the lines between therapy and art, between lecture and theatrical manipulation, between imagination and reality—the empirical physical body is there, grounding us, reminding us that we are the owners of this precious life-machine, leading us to enjoy its dance.

The performance has been presented 18 times at the Habeit Theater, and afterward, it continued in the format of open Zoom sessions for a wider audience.
